Section 1 covers topics such as Collocations, Spellings, Gender, Singular-Plural, One-word Substitution, Synonyms, Antonyms, Nouns, Pronouns, Verbs, Adverbs, Adjectives, Contractions, Articles, Prepositions, Conjunctions, Tenses, Punctuation, and Jumbled words, Basic Questions, Question Tags, Proverbs, Idioms, etc.

Section 2 focuses on the ability to search for and retrieve information from various text types like Stories, Anecdotes, etc. It also includes understanding information through pictures, time-table format, etc. and acquiring a broad understanding of and looking for specific information in short texts like messages, invitations, etc.

Section 3 evaluates the ability to understand situation-based variations in functions like apology, greeting, introduction, request, etc.

Section 4 consists of Higher Order Thinking Questions that encompass the syllabus covered in Sections 1, 2, and 3.

The number of questions, marks per question, and total marks vary based on the class level. For classes 1st to 4th, the exam consists of 35 questions with a total of 40 marks. For classes 5th to 12th, the exam consists of 50 questions with a total of 60 marks.
